Technical website information

To reduce automated quote-form abuse, the website also uses short-lived server-side rate limiting. The rate limiter does not store the raw IP address in its rate-limit files; it stores a hashed IP-derived identifier and submission timestamps temporarily, generally no longer than a few hours.

Cookies and advertising tracking

The September 2026 launch version of this website does not include third-party behavioral advertising trackers or account-login cookies. If analytics, advertising, or other cookie-based technologies are added later, this policy should be updated to describe those tools and any choices available to visitors.

How quote requests are delivered

Quote request information is transmitted from the website hosting environment to BIG Steel's Microsoft 365 environment through the Microsoft Graph API over an encrypted HTTPS connection. The website does not write the submitted name, email address, phone number, company, product interest, or project details to a local website database or submission file as part of normal form processing. The resulting message may be retained or forwarded within BIG Steel's Microsoft 365 environment as part of normal business communications.

How information may be shared

Information may be processed by service providers that support website hosting, Microsoft 365 email delivery, security, or related business operations when necessary to provide those services. BIG Steel may also disclose information when required by law or to protect its rights, users, or systems.

Retention and security

Inquiry information may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to requests, maintain business records, and meet applicable legal or operational requirements. BIG Steel uses reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information, but no internet transmission or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
